What is Eclipse®
CLAD?
Counselor Led Assymetric Divorce.
“Counselor Led” means that
a licensed mental health professional—such as a counselor with an
Employee Assistance Program — works with one or both spouses and helps
them through the personal issues that are often the hardest part of the
life transition of divorce.
Each spouse has the security and confidence of his
or her own lawyer.
Because the work of the lawyers is limited to just
the legal issues, legal services are provided on a fixed fee
basis—agreed in advance.
“Asymmetric” means that one of the attorneys is
proactive. In addition to advising his or her client and
consulting with the other professionals, this lawyer takes primary
responsibility for preparing documents and moving the case through the
legal system. The other attorney is there to advise his or her
client, consult with the other professionals,
review the documents and answer any questions.
Money doesn’t solve problems, but the lack of money
can cause them. Divorce is almost always a financial hardship for
everyone involved. This is why the Eclipse® CLAD™ program
often includes the help of an AdNet financial advisor for one or both
spouses. Services range from debt adjustment and budgeting to
asset management.
